A Companion to Contemporary British and Irish Poetry, 1960 - 2015

A Companion to Contemporary British and Irish Poetry, 1960 - 2015, 1st Edition, is a scholarly collection within the Blackwell Companions to Literature and Culture series. The volume provides analytical perspectives on British and Irish verse produced over a fifty-five-year span.

Essays explore these distinct but interrelated national literatures through examinations of individual writers, forms, genres, and techniques. The text pairs traditional verse with avant-garde and experimental poetry, offering fresh assessments of both canonical and less canonical figures.

The work also highlights the contributions of women writers, verse by authors from ethnic minority backgrounds, and thematic investigations of gender and sexuality.
