Anthology of World Scriptures

Anthology of World Scriptures, 9th Edition, is an anthology compiled by Robert E. Van Voorst that presents notable and instructive sacred writings from global religious traditions.

The volume gathers selections from major world faiths, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Shinto, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It also examines texts from new religious movements, including Baha'i, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the Christian Science Church, and the Unification Church.

Widely adopted for religious studies classes in the United States, the anthology places readings within their living contexts. Learning aids include introductions, study questions, glossaries, timelines, scriptural charts, and suggestions for further reading.
