The Old Testament Story

The Old Testament Story, 10th Edition, introduces students to biblical literature through an examination of historical settings and literary structures. The textbook provides a foundational framework covering the history and culture of the ancient Near East during the era of textual composition.

Following this historical foundation, the text examines the biblical accounts directly. It draws on academic methods for interpreting ancient literature to help readers evaluate the narratives.

Designed for college courses on the Old Testament, the 10th Edition features rewritten sections and enhanced study aids to assist undergraduate study.
