Gender and Women's Studies

Gender and Women's Studies: Critical Terrain, 2nd Edition, is an anthology introducing key issues, approaches, and debates in feminist thought. The volume investigates how gender intersects with race, class, ability, age, and sexuality across diverse social contexts.

The collection brings together classic and contemporary selections that elevate Indigenous, racialized, disabled, and queer perspectives. Readings address historical and current questions surrounding gender identity, cultural representation, and activism across Canadian, North American, Indigenous, and global contexts.

Prepared for students in gender and women's studies courses across Canada and the United States, the anthology gathers varied genres ranging from scholarly articles and research reports to personal narratives and poetry.
