"They Say / I Say"

Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein present "They Say / I Say", 6th Edition, an academic writing textbook published by W. W. Norton & Company in 2023. The text guides college students through core principles of academic writing, reading, composition, and research.

The thematic coverage connects reading and research practices directly to composition. Students engage with strategies for participating in public conversations and structuring written academic discourse across language arts disciplines.

This 6th Edition includes a new chapter titled "In My Experience." The volume supports college students engaged in composition and academic communication.
